MISSION STATEMENT CUSTOM EVENTS BY ROXY was created to make every little girls or boys dream become a reality on their wedding day. Each wedding or special event is tailored specifically to your needs and wants. We at Custom Events want to make your special occasion as stress free and relaxing as possible and even more important as memorable as we can.
Let me introduce Roxy Pickens and her company Custom Events by Roxy: Roxy started her career in Rochester, MN as a stagehand with IATSE (the stagehand union) at the Mayo Civic Center. She earned her place as head of wardrobe working with such talent as Sesame Street Live, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Pardon to name a few. Then with her husband moved to Nashville, where she learned what it takes to be a country star. After Nashville, they settled in Las Vegas, NV. Currently she is working as head usher at the Axis Theater in Planet Hollywood. While getting her diploma in wedding and event planning she also runs the lights, sound and video for live internet streaming when R.C. Pickens does his concerts on the internet. Roxy is now concentrating her knowledge and experience into her own business with planning weddings and other special events (including engagement parties, divorce parties, birthday parties, etc.), with the goal being to provide a service for clients that will exceed their dreams and expectations. To quote her “I am here to help you realize those dreams. I don’t believe in ‘I can’t’.”. She believes anything is possible with a little hard work. And there it is-who Roxy is as a person who will leave no stone unturned when it comes to making your event or wedding a success. She will take away the stress and leave you to having fun on your special day.
